| Focal Image offers a text processing and typesetting service to publishers. We specialize in technical and mathematical journals. Our technology is based around Donald Knuth's TeX programming language and typesetting system.
Focal Image has offices in Exeter, UK (initial contact), and in Trivandrum, India (development and production).
We employ some 70 staff, mainly in India, all of whom are intensively trained in-house. Presently we serve a small number of publishers, including IOP (for the last 15 years) and Elsevier Science.
We have a computer-aided production tracking system in place for clients to track real-time progress of their projects and files. | |
